Yes it is faster. At least, most people seem to think it is. Of course, it depends on who you ask and what you’re trying to do with it. For videos, there are still problems. It’s slower than many other browsers when it comes to things like YouTube, and it also doesn’t have support for Java. Despite these things, it’s faster for regular browsing and many other choices that people make on the Internet.
A lot of people like it better, and if they don’t need to download or play a lot of videos then they shouldn’t mind the slowdown in that area. When it comes to all other aspects of the Internet, Chrome beats IE and Firefox, sometimes by a little bit, but often by a lot.
